The following opportunities are currently available:

Entry Level Fire Engineer/Designer

National Consultants Limited (NCL) is a privately owned fire engineering and regulatory compliance company operating from the Kapiti Coast.

NCL provides fire designs for buildings to Architects and designers, review and provide advice for Councils during fire design reviews, and also undertake training for private and Council staff.

We are seeking an entry-level Fire Engineer/Designer to join our team.

The successful applicant will likely have some understanding of the Building Act, the Building Code, and associated Regulations but it is more important that we find the “right person” who has a strong interest in building and life safety coupled with a strong willingness to learn.

The role is a starting role in developing designs and ensuring compliance is achieved for fire safety designs across New Zealand. However, as time progresses, and your knowledge and skills expand, a route to higher learning and undertaking complex designs using computer modeling is expected.

A minimum requirement for the role is Mathematics, NCEA Level 2 or higher, preferably with calculus and/or trigonometry (or equivalent).

A high level of written and verbal communication skills is required, as well as a sense of humour, as you will be dealing with internal staff, external clients, and applicants.

This is a unique opportunity to enter and grow within a specialist company, whilst being supported and encouraged to reach new heights by the wider team.

In return for your skill and time, we offer a family-friendly, supportive, environment with a competitive overall salary.

If you are interested in exploring a new opportunity, please email your CV, current competency in processing along with a short cover letter to info@nationalprocessing.co.nz

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be able to prove their current vaccine status as the role will involve on-site visits.
